I really do not understand the “Goal” of this site. You ask for Snow totals and only select certain areas to publish snow accumulations. I sent you a snow total for the Mt. Davis area, the base of the mountain of 38 inches on saturday morning at 0700. It snowed till 3 PM that day so I am sure the snow total was more than 38 inches, but I decided on the cautions side as I did not know exactly the amount after 0700 as I did not re-measure ( to busy digging out).
No aknowledgement of that total, as it was the highest snow accumulation at that time and I saw no others for that day. No announcement on the Channel 6 news as you did announce other snow totals.
So why should we even respond to this site, you are asking but you do not follow through.
We received another 10 inches last night measured this morning at 0600,( and it is still snowing at 10:40) but I bet we do not here that total on tonights news, just every other area around.
Why is this area of the Laurel Highlands always left out as we do receive more snow than the areas that surrond Somerset County. It is pretty frustrating to listen to the news R/T weather and not even be recognized, Mt. Davis is the highest point in PA. you think they don’t get significant snow falls? Well take a journey and drive up here and take a look.

    • Pam,
The snow totals that you saw on the blog were official reports from the National Weather Service. We appreciate your updates and I understand that the mountains get pounded with snow. There were over 150 snowfall reports on the blog for people to peruse. It was just way too many to list them all on a single page, especially when they were already listed on the blog anyway.

Thanks again for your report and keep ‘em coming. We do see them and they do help.
      Tim
